1. Acceptance of Terms

By engaging About DTC EXPRESS's services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the customer) and DTC EXPRESS Cargo Movers and Packers.

2. Service Description

DTC EXPRESS provides professional packing, moving, storage, and related logistics services. Our services include but are not limited to:

  • Household and office relocation
  • Vehicle transportation
  • Packing and unpacking services
  • Storage and warehousing
  • Insurance coverage

3. Booking and Confirmation

All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation. A booking is confirmed only upon:

  • Receipt of signed quotation/agreement
  • Payment of advance as specified
  • Completion of pre-move survey (if applicable)

4. Pricing and Payment

4.1 Quotations: All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise specified.

4.2 Payment Terms: Advance payment (typically 25-30% of total cost) is required at booking. Balance payment is due upon completion of services.

4.3 Additional Charges: Any additional services requested during the move will be charged separately and require customer approval.

5. Customer Responsibilities

The customer agrees to:

  • Provide accurate information about goods to be moved
  • Be present or have an authorized representative during pickup and delivery
  • Ensure proper access at both pickup and delivery locations
  • Declare valuable items and provide proper documentation
  • Remove personal and valuable documents before packing
  • Ensure all items are legally owned and transportable

6. Prohibited Items

DTC EXPRESS will not transport:

  • Hazardous materials (flammable, explosive, toxic substances)
  • Perishable food items
  • Live plants (for long-distance moves)
  • Pets or live animals
  • Illegal items or contraband
  • Currency, jewelry, or precious metals (unless declared and insured)

7. Insurance and Liability

7.1 Basic Coverage: All shipments include basic transit insurance as per industry standards.

7.2 Comprehensive Insurance: Additional insurance coverage is available for high-value items.

7.3 Liability Limitations: DTC EXPRESS's liability is limited to the declared value of goods or insurance coverage, whichever is applicable.

7.4 Damage Claims: All damage claims must be reported immediately upon delivery and documented properly.

8. Delivery and Timeline

8.1 Delivery Schedule: Delivery dates are estimates and may vary due to factors beyond our control.

8.2 Delays: DTC EXPRESS is not liable for delays caused by weather, traffic, natural disasters, or other force majeure events.

8.3 Storage: If delivery cannot be completed due to customer unavailability, goods may be stored at customer's expense.

9. Cancellation and Rescheduling

9.1 Customer Cancellation: Cancellations must be made in writing. Cancellation charges may apply based on timing:

  • More than 48 hours before move: 10% of total cost
  • 24-48 hours before move: 25% of total cost
  • Less than 24 hours: 50% of total cost

9.2 Rescheduling: Date changes are subject to availability and may incur additional charges.

10. Force Majeure

DTC EXPRESS shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, strikes, or pandemics.

11. Dispute Resolution

11.1 Complaints: All complaints should be reported within 7 days of service completion.

11.2 Mediation: Disputes will first be addressed through good faith negotiations.

11.3 Jurisdiction: Any legal disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Mumbai courts.

12. Data Protection

DTC EXPRESS respects customer privacy and handles personal information in accordance with applicable data protection laws. Customer data is used solely for service delivery and communication purposes.

13. Intellectual Property

All content on MoveMate's website, including logos, trademarks, and proprietary information, is protected by intellectual property laws and remains the property of MoveMate.

14. Modification of Terms

DTC EXPRESS reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website and communicated to customers as appropriate.

15. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue to be valid and enforceable.
